Give a Gift of Real Estate

A residence, vacation home, ranch, or parcel of land may have significantly appreciated in value so that its sale would mean a sizeable capital gains tax.  By making a gift of this property to CCT, you can avoid the capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction for the property’s full fair market value.

A donor also has the option of giving the property to a charity and retaining the right to live there for the remainder of his or her life.  The donor receives a charitable deduction at the time the gift is made and can be entitled to any income that the property produces.
