Colorado Conservation at a Crossroads
Report Released October 3rd
CCT’s third-annual addition of the report highlights conservation accomplishments, challenges and reviews recommendations to meet ambitious conservation goals. In 2005, CCT published the inaugural addition of Colorado Conservation at a Crossroads. That report tallied the conservation goals and objectives of Colorado’s diverse land conservation community of public agencies and private land trusts, and issued a challenge to protect 2 million acres of Colorado’s most treasured and threatened landscapes by 2015. Since 2005, we’ve protected 340,706 acres – a great start, but we need to pick up the pace to ensure we reach our goal.

Conserving the Colorado You Know & Love
Keeping Colorado Special Forever
Colorado Conservation Trust is a statewide non-profit organization passionate about keeping the very special places of Colorado special forever. Colorado's extraordinary lands are in peril. Every year more than 100,000 acres are lost forever. That's why we feel a sense of urgency to unite the forces of conservation throughout the state to help conserve two million acres of the Colorado you know and love in the next decade. Our role is to bring together conservation dollars, the great works of local, state and national conservation groups, and the latest information and expertise to make the greatest impact on Colorado's threatened landscapes. Colorado Conservation Trust is where philanthropy and effective action come together. We are the only organization in Colorado working with all conservation groups on all kinds of land preservation projects. And time is short. We have a decade to make a difference. Let's get going.
